How Eyrmat Got Started
Eyrmat is the bath mat brand created by Jinhua Yier Moxing Co., Ltd. (also known as Jinhua Eyier Plastic Co., Ltd.), a manufacturing company founded in February 2020 and based in Wucheng District, Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province, China.
Before Eyrmat existed as a brand, our founding team was already deep in the world of plastics and rubber molding — running injection molding equipment, developing molds, and working through the kind of day-to-day production problems that come with manufacturing at scale. Somewhere along the way, a fairly simple observation stuck with us: bathroom floors are one of the more overlooked safety spots in a home, and a lot of the mats on the market weren't holding up the way they should. That's the specific problem we set out to work on, and it's how Eyrmat came to focus specifically on non-slip bathroom mats, floor mats, and shower mats.
Who We Are
Our team is built around people who understand the manufacturing side of this business firsthand — engineers, mold technicians, and production staff who've spent years working with plastics and rubber materials. We run our own in-house R&D team, an injection molding workshop, and a mold workshop, which means the people designing our mats are working alongside the people producing them, in the same facility.
Today, our factory covers 60,000 square meters, with more than 200 production staff working across 30 production lines and 15 injection molding machines. We've been in production for over six years, which has given us time to refine our processes and learn, sometimes the hard way, what actually holds up in a wet, high-traffic bathroom environment.
Why We Went Online
For most of our company's history, we manufactured for other brands and businesses. Starting Eyrmat as a direct-to-consumer online store was a deliberate shift — we wanted to put a product we make ourselves directly in front of the people using it, without layers of distributors in between. That means we oversee the process from material and mold design through to production, so when something needs adjusting, we're the ones who can actually adjust it.
